The opening unit is functionally connected with the life vest unit and the packaging unit comprises one or more fixation units for a fixation on an aircraft seat. For a retrieval of the life vest unit from the packaging unit, the opening unit is connected in a tear-proof manner with the life vest unit. The pull strap and the life vest are embodied integrally with each other.

Abstract: A sealing bag includes a bag body and a sealing system. The sealing system includes an elastomeric protruding component and a covering assembly. The elastomeric protruding component is disposed on the bag body and protruding from the bag body along a protruding direction. A slit penetrates through the elastomeric protruding component along the protruding direction and is communicated with an inner space of the bag body. The covering assembly is for detachably engaging with the elastomeric protruding component. The covering assembly squeezes the elastomeric protruding component along the protruding direction and a lateral direction different from the protruding direction to seal the slit when the covering assembly engages with the elastomeric protruding component. Such mechanism can ensure nothing goes in or comes out when the slit is sealed. Therefore, the present invention has enhanced reliability.

Abstract: A removable pouch partition clip having the same length of a pouch's folds. Said clip has a transverse hole at each end to allow the insertion of retaining pin to prevent the accidental slippage of the clip during shipping, which may release the partition folds and allow unwanted contamination or communication between the two compartments. Said clip has a figure of U. The edges of the U have reinforcement for increased rigidity. Each end of the clip may have a retaining pin that penetrates through corresponding holes in the pouch's folds. The retaining pins may be replaced with heat spot welds. Pulling the pouches apart will disengage the pins and remove the clip allowing the pouches to communicate.

Abstract: The present disclosure concerns flexible reclosable containers with a one way valve which provides a means to vent fluids, particularly air, from the interior of container when the repeatedly reclosable closure member, typically a zipper, is in a closed state. It also concerns a process for creating such a valve using a seal bar with voids to create a channel which passes behind the closure member. The valve which is disclosed involves a channel which comprises a central passageway which connects a port which communicates with the environment to a port which communicates with the interior of the package. Also disclosed is the concept of using this valve with a readily removable hermetic seal such that the port intended to communicate the environment initially communicates with the headspace between the reclosable closure member and the hermetic seal but does communicate with the environment when the hermetic seal is removed.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for securely storing items of media. The apparatus includes a storage bag body having an open mouth region and a sealing collar extending around at least a portion of the mouth region. The collar includes a first and second elongate side bar, each having a first and second end and a first pair of hinged end bars disposed in an end-to-end configuration between respective first ends of the side bars and a second pair of hinged end bars disposed in an end-to-end configuration between the respective second ends of the side bars. At least one side bar and at least one end bar in each pair of end bars comprises at least one securing element for irreversibly sealing the mouth region of the storage bag body closed.

The at least one finger member, by engaging a complementary sealing portion of a complementary fastener strip, provides an additional degree of sealing, particularly when the fastener strips are in a partially engaged condition. A slider comprises top and side walls and inwardly facing flanges, preferably at lower ends of the side walls. The inwardly facing flanges define a gap having dimensions such that the sealing members of the opposing fastener strips, and particularly the sealing portion having the at least one finger member and its complementary sealing portion, are urged together to provide an additional degree of sealing, yet not completely interlocking, engagement.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to an air evacuation assembly and methods of using the same, and in particular to an assembly used to evacuate air from a sealable plastic bag and to form an air tight seal, and to the methods of using the same. In a preferred embodiment, a valve assembly is provided with an inside piece that is matable with an outside piece. A plastic bag is pierced, and a gasket forms a seal with the bag when the inside piece and outside piece are threadably engaged. A check ball is contained within a spout. The ball can seal the inside of the bag, or alternatively be moved to allow air to evacuate from the bag. An external rib is provided for forming a tight engagement between the valve assembly and a pump and/or a cap.

Each recess has a base with a pair of generally upstanding neck elements disposed on opposite ends of the base. The base does not extend laterally beyond the neck elements. Each protuberance, as extruded, has a rounded tip, a concave or partial-concave tail, and a generally upstanding neck portion connecting the tip and tail. The profile strips are readily secured to the web without entrapping air between the profile strips and the film web and form an vacuum tight seal. The apparatus is capable of being repeatedly opened and then hermetically sealed even when the device has a wire that must be extended outside of the apparatus. The present invention comprises a housing having at least two members that, when juxtaposed and clamped, form a dry interior region. More specifically, each member includes a pair of gaskets that together define the dry interior region and substantially form a hermetic seal about a pouch or container. The apparatus includes a portal through which the wire may extend from a device inside the pouch or container to the outside and a slide mechanism that adjust a gasket around the wire to maintain the dry interior region. The slide mechanism forms a hermetic seal around the wire so that the opening in the pouch from which the wire extends is hermetically sealed. If no wire is present, the slide mechanism may be adjusted to maintain the hermetic seal.

Various terminal ports, terminal caps, and rubber septums may be useable with the one or more container ports.

In one embodiment of the invention, the drug access system includes an IV bag having an inlet port and outlet port, whereby the inlet port is a female luer integral therewith. The integral female luer fitting may be fitted with a sealed end cap comprising a male luer insert with a closed end. An alternative embodiment of the present invention comprises a discrete pre-molded connector made with one spike at one end and a female luer fitting at the opposing end. The spike is used to penetrate a standard IV bag through a conventional inlet port.

The male closure profile further includes a sealing protrusion that is received within a mating sealing recess to provide a liquid tight seal between the two closure profiles. The slider device includes a plow member that extends past the first interlocking member when the slider device is installed on the zipper closure. Each of the closure profiles includes a spring member that contacts the top, inner surface of the slider device to provide a resilient, flexible structure to aid in installation of the slider device on the zipper closure.
