Abstract: A utility service apparatus having at least one utility segment with a conduit system having an elongated body. A coupling structure is positioned at both ends. The coupling structure at one end is attachable to the coupling structure at the other end. A plurality of utility service components extend through the elongated body. Coupling a first end of a first utility segment with the second end of another utility segment assembly operably connects each of the plurality of utility service components to another utility segment assembly. Some of the segment assemblies include a unit head positioned along the elongated body. The unit head has a plurality of utility service ports coupled to the utility service components. Service implements can be attached thereto.
Abstract: A union for coupling two or more segments of tubing or optical fiber, having an elastomeric core with two or more tubular sections encased in a through bore of a union body, the ends of the union body bore having compression nuts having through bores for insertion of segments of tubing or optical fiber to be coupled, which, tubular sections, when compressed by the compression nuts, deform radially inwardly to hold and seal the segments of tubing or optical fiber inserted therein.

Abstract: A duct coupled air sampling detector housing includes a box to contain the detector. The box has a slotted sleeve adapted to receive tubular conduit having a protruding conduit tab. The conduit upon passing the protruding conduit tab through the sleeve slot is rotated such that the tab rests against a notch in the sleeve end that prevents the conduit from disengaging from the box. A conduit retainer overlies the inner end of the sleeve. A cover seals against the front face of the box to enclose the box volume containing the detector.
Abstract: A universal conduit body system is provided having an outer housing having a first wall thickness, at least one port and an inner space. Each port has an opening in the housing and a recess in the housing surrounding the opening. Each recess includes a second wall thickness less than the first wall thickness. In use, the port mates with a connector that includes an interface having substantially the same physical shape as the recess.
Abstract: A cable transit device, or cable penetration device, includes a tubular sleeve (1) that has means (11) at one end for fastening the device to a wall opening, and that has at its other end a thread (14) which interacts with a thread (53) on a nut (5). The nut includes a support shoulder (52) and the device includes a rubber sleeve which is located in the tubular sleeve (1) and has an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the tubular sleeve. The rubber sleeve is accommodated between the circular shoulder of the tubular sleeve and the support shoulder of the nut. The device also includes a plurality of module elements (4), each containing a cable accommodating channel (41) and each being divided to allow lateral access to the channel/channels. The modules (4) together fill-out the opening (31) of the rubber sleeve and have a shape that corresponds to the resultant outer contour of the mutually sealingly combined modules.
