  • Patent number: 8602280
Abstract: An adhesive tape dispenser of the present invention includes a housing and a tape holder. The housing has an opening and a pivot axle disposed on the opening. The tape holder is received in the housing and has a pivot hole to receive the pivot axle. The housing and the tape holder have a limitation structure to enable the tape holder to pivot between a closed position and an open position. The housing has a pressing portion which is able to press the tape holder to cancel limitation of the limitation structure, and then the tape holder is able to pivot away from the opening freely to facilitate the replacement of tape roll. Thereby, the adhesive tape dispenser of the present invention can provide an easy way to operate, and the replacement of tape roll becomes more convenient.

Abstract: A wrapping film dispenser has a generally cylindrical container that defines a cavity for accommodating a wrapping film roll, and further defines a slot extending along its length for extracting a sheet of wrapping film through the slot. A gripping pad member is rigidly attached at a first lengthwise edge of the slot. A locking element is rigidly attached proximal to a second lengthwise edge of the slot. The locking element extends towards the gripping pad member, presses the extracted wrapping film sheet against the gripping pad member, and restricts movement and prevents roll back of the extracted wrapping film sheet. A cutting frame is rigidly attached proximal to the first lengthwise edge of the slot above the gripping pad member, and has a protruding element located at a predetermined location on the cutting frame for cutting the wrapping film sheet extracted out through the slot.

Abstract: The present invention provides a pill splitter. The pill splitter includes a main body with a top housing and a bottom housing having a blade mounted thereto. The top housing has a slot defined therein for receipt of the blade. The top housing moves relative to the bottom housing between a protected position and a cutting position. In the protected position, the top housing resides in front of the blade to prevent a user from contacting the blade. In one embodiment, a retainer moves between the blade mount and the bottom surface of the pill seat to prevent movement thereof. In the cutting position, the blade is routed through the slot in the top housing thereby exposing a cutting edge thereof for cutting a pill. The retainer clears from between the blade mount and the bottom source of the pill seat to allow movement thereof.

  • Patent number: 4568211
Abstract: Operator controlled document gripper means is provided for gripping and holding a continuous web document closely downstream of the printing line of the printer so that a printed individual form can be torn away while the perforated tear line is located within the printer housing. The document gripper means includes a clamping edge on a gripper bar fixed on an access cover supported for rearward and forward sliding movement on the upper surface of the printer housing. The clamping edge is normally spaced from one face of the document to allow free passage of the document over the platen and through the printing station. With rearward sliding movement of the access cover by the operator, the clamping edge engages and presses the document against the platen to grip and hold the document while the perforated tear line is positioned closely adjacent the printing line.

  • Patent number: 4450039
Abstract: A splicing head for an automatic zero-speed web splicing machine is disclosed in which the end of a new roll of web material can be prepared for splicing directly on resilient nip rollers which are used by the machine to perform the splicing operation. In particular, the splicing head includes a knife carriage through which the web material passes and which can be moved transversely to the web travel direction under control of a cam and lever arrangement to introduce a predetermined loop of slack into the web material. The action of the cam and lever mechanism also positions a serrated preparation blade mounted on cantilever arms in front of the nip rollers for squarely trimming the edge of the web material.

  • Patent number: 4422787
Abstract: A tear bar for a printer includes a mechanism by which the tear bar is mountable on the paper bail support of the printer. The mounting is pivotal, permitting the tear bar to be moved selectively between use and non-use orientations. The tear bar construction is particularly useful with printers of the general configuration of the International Business Machines Model TR3287 system printer.

  • Patent number: 4344551
Abstract: An apparatus for transporting, cutting and dispensing heavy web sheet material such as cardboard, plastic film and the like, while in roll form. The apparatus includes a manually wheelable frame that can be selectively raised and lowered by a retractable handle at its rearward end to support the frame on a pair of front wheels for transporting the roll to the jobsite. Lowering the apparatus onto fixed rear legs supports the frame in a rest position for cutting and dispensing the sheet material. The frame has upright front and rear standards mounted in asymmetrical opposed relation on one side of the longitudinal center line of the frame. Thus, the roll is readily mounted in a stabilizing manner substantially along the frame center line by means of its roll axle shaft being supported on the inboard side of the standards.

  • Patent number: 4170914
Abstract: A chewing gum dispenser is described wherein a rectangular box having a top, a bottom, two sides, a front and a rear end is dimensioned to contain a plurality of sticks of gum when the sticks of gum are stacked one upon another within the interior of the box. The front end of the box has a slot extending from one side of the box to the other side adjacent to the top of the box. The box has an elongated hole in its top surface and a spring attached to the bottom of the box and extending within the interior of the box toward the top surface. The spring urges sticks of gum within the box toward the top such that the uppermost stick of gum fits against the inside of the top of the box resulting in a portion of the top stick of gum being exposed through the elongated hole. By frictionally engaging the top stick of gum with a finger inserted through the elongated hole the top stick of gum can be partially pushed out of the box through the slot.

  • Patent number: 3970230
Abstract: A tape tearing device for removably applying to a roll of pressure sensitive tape comprises a generally U-shaped cutter including a blade affixed to the web of the cutter, the web terminating endwardly in a pair of depending, integral legs. The legs terminate downwardly in inwardly projecting shoulders suitable to loosely grip the core of a roll of tape. The legs are spaced apart a distance slightly greater than the width of the roll of tape and the shoulders extend inwardly a predetermined distance to define a clear space therebetween that is less than the width of the tape whereby the tape tearing device may be easily applied to a roll of tape by slightly spreading the legs and then the device is retained in association therewith by the natural spring bias of the legs.
